Nan C. Vance, PhD, a former public school teacher, developed educational tools and presentations for students to motivate their curiosity and interest in the natural environment that surrounds them and its importance to well being of the plant. Since retiring, she has used photography to assist in studying plant flowers and their insect visitors more intimately.
