What is Homebound Delivery?
If physical or other special limiting conditions keep you from visiting the Asotin County Library, let our Homebound Service bring the Library to you.
This service may be requested on a temporary or continual basis.
Every other Wednesday a library volunteer will deliver books or other library materials to your home. Delivered materials are chosen based on your requests and interests.
Eligibility & Registration
Any resident of Asotin County with limited mobility is eligible for this FREE service and may be used on a temporary or continual basis. A library card is required. If you do not already have a library card, staff can help you get one. Complete a Homebound Service form to let us know your reading interests or phone the library at 509-758-5454 to discuss reading interests and arrange delivery.
Availability & Loan Periods
Print books in regular and large type and CD audiobooks are available from select Valnet libraries. Only DVDs from an Asotin County Library are available for loan. You may also borrow magazines and puzzles from ACL. Most books are loaned for four weeks and DVDs for two weeks.
Deliveries and pick-ups are made every other Wednesday. Arrangements can be made if a longer loan period is preferred.
Selection
Library staff or a dedicated volunteer will select library materials based on your interests. You may also select items yourself online with our catalog or phone the library at 509-758-5454.
