The third of the Whimbrel House Series and my favorite to date. Merritt and Hulda have taken Owein to England to meet with some of the royal family per the Queen's request. The Queen is hoping to betroth Owein to one of her young relatives ... Owein if you recall, was once a boy who's spirit inhabited Whimbrel House until he became a dog... confused yet? So in the betrothal contract he is promised a body so he can become a human again... that's if they can survive their time there with multiple attempts on their lives. All three of them are really coming into their magical abilities in this third book as well, and we get to meet some different kinds of magic users including some shapeshifters. The story wraps up nicely with fairly happy ending, and while I believe this is the last one planned for the series, there is room for more spinoffs for sure.
