Event Details
Deepen your connection with nature by exploring a few of the useful plants that can be easily found in our nearby natural areas.
***Event will be canceled if the Air Quality Index is over 100 one (1) hour before the planned start time***
Neighborhood Naturalist Michelle Schmidt (who was recently featured in the Inland 360!) will guide us on a walk around the Asotin Boat Ramp area. She will discuss how to identify and make use of a handful of easy-to-find local plants, as well as explore their historical and ecological context.
Adventure seekers of all ages are welcome! Children 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
LOCATION
Asotin Boat Ramp
Head to the town of Asotin, follow 1st St to Wilson St and continue straight. Destination will be on your left.
We will meet in the parking area at 8:00am.
WHAT'S PLANNED
We will look for and identify a number of useful plants including mulberry, yarrow, and mullein.
We highly suggest you bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle and good walking shoes!
