Introduction to Qigong

6:00-7:00pm
Qigong  (pronounced chee-gung) is a mind-body-spirit practice that blends movement, breath, sound and intent to improve mental and physical health. Qi translates to “vital energy” and gong translates to “cultivation.”

In Introduction to Qigong, certified instructor Jennifer Bauer will lead participants through an easy and gentle qigong routine. She’ll explain benefits of practice and talk about the Eastern system of thought qigong is based on.

Thousands of studies have shown qigong effective in helping to heal life challenges ranging from illness to emotional, mental and spiritual crisis. Come find out why qigong offers an antidote to hectic, fast-paced lifestyles we struggle to balance today.

People should wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a blanket or cushion to sit on. Chairs will also be available for people who cannot sit on the floor.
