Join us for Friendly Faces, Interesting Places every Tuesday at 10:30am on Facebook Live!  Each week we’ll visit a community member at their workplace, listen to a story, and then we’ll be treated to a closer look at how they do their work.  Pick up an activity kit at the downtown library each Monday.  The kits contain the supplies for kids to further explore the topic of the week.

June 23          Pipe Dreams  –  see and hear a pipe organ up close and personal.
June 30         A House From the Inside Out  –  we’ll visit a house that is being remodeled and see what’s behind the walls.
July 7             An award-winning quilter will introduce us to the art of quilting.
July 14           We’ll visit a scientist in her lab.  Don’t worry, she’s not a mad scientist!
July 21           Charles the Clown  –  you’ll be amazed and amused!
July 28           Find out how the six strings of a guitar can make such wonderful music.
Aug. 4            Detective Jackie Nichols from the Asotin County Sheriff Office will tell us how she collects evidence.
Aug. 11           TBA

Join us on Facebook Live for a short weekly storytime every Tuesday at 10:30!  If you can’t join us at that time, the video will be available on Facebook after the live video.  Just go to facebook.com/asotincountylibrary/.  The story times will be filmed at various locations in the area, featuring different community members reading a book, plus a virtual mini-tour of local workplaces.

There will be an activity packet available at the library a few days before each storytime that has the materials for the craft or activity for the week.  Supplies are limited, so we may only be able to distribute one per family.
