Pacific Northwest historian Carole Simon-Smolinski will discuss her newest book Just Add Water: From Barren Jawbone Flat to Bountiful Clarkston, Washington 1890-1940.

Just Add Water is the story of an ambitious late 19th Century irrigation project—initiated and funded by Charles Francis Adams, Jr., of the prominent Adams political family and president of the Union Pacific Railroad Company—that led to the establishment of the unique community of Clarkston, Washington, and transformation of Asotin County.
